Useful Tools
Miriad - the main data reduction package of CARMA and BIMAMy contributions:
- MIR - a Miriad task that converts Miriad data into the Caltech Mir format, currently part of the Miriad distribution
- Noiseglue - a Miriad task that can glue windows/sidebands in u-v space. It is a variant of uvglue, but properly tracks all header values, currently part of the Miriad distribution.
- Vtov - a miriad task that implements the Variable Temperature and Outflow Velocity model for comets (see my comets page for a detailed description. Currently not part of the main Miriad distribution (the code needs to be cleaned up before it is ready for general use).
Other software I have developed
CARMA Project Database - used to track and schedule all observations conducted by the CARMA array. It holds all observational information from every track. It consists of a C++ back end with a python user interface (connects to the database through a CORBA interface).ISCAD - Interactive Spectral Calculator and Display. A Java based program that can display imported spectra (i.e. from observations), fit the spectra, identify known spectral line from databases, calculate column density and rotation temperature of observed transitions (including taking into account any beam dilution affects), and create synthetic spectra of known molecules. This program is currently in the final stages of development and will be available for download when it is complete.
